If you're a longtime wrestling fan, you'll be well aware of how quickly the WrestleMania card can change; for example, a heel Natalya was originally going to be facing Ronda Rousey!

Now, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the original plan before Roman Reigns' cancer diagnosis was for him to square off with Dean Ambrose. It would have been the main event (or one of them) and Reigns was more than likely going to be the Universal Champion heading into the match.

Everything changed when Brock Lesnar agreed to stick around, of course, but it's interesting to think about what might have been.

For now, Ambrose doesn't actually have a match at the Showcase of the Immortals and it's thought that he will be leaving WWE as planned in April. As always, stay tuned for updates.
