Roman Reigns Weighs In On The Possibility Of A Big Money Match With John Cena

Roman Reigns has already toppled The Undertaker at WrestleMania so it probably won't surprise you to learn that WWE's Big Dog is already setting his sights on a match with John Cena somewhere down the line.

Roman Reigns and John Cena have come to blows on a number of occasions in the past but given the way The Big Dog has been pushed as the new face of WWE in recent years, a match between them now would feel like a very big deal indeed. In fact, it's not all that hard to imagine Vince McMahon trying to convince Cena that Roman should be the one to retire him one day!

That's something which would surely rub fans up the wrong way, especially as Reigns is arguably more divisive than Cena has ever been. Either way, Roman made it clear in a recent interview - to promote his Fatal 4 Way match for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam on Sunday - that his goal is to take on Cena in the squared circle to see who the better man is.

"If you’re here for the right reasons — and this doesn’t just go for wrestling, this is anything, this is what drives our world — you wanna be in there with the best. To say John Cena is not one of the best of all time is asinine. He is. He’s a 16-time heavyweight champion. There’s only two men in the whole world that can say that. So to be able to share the ring with him, to do a big fight with John Cena, I’m all for that. I came here for a reason. I didn’t come here to blend in. I came here to stick out and that’s what I’ve done. I’m not gonna back down to anybody I said this a long time ago: I don’t care who’s at the top. I’m stepping up. I think I’ve proved that over the years. I think, what a great way to honor both of our careers and what we’re trying to do and the way we try to drive this train. What better way to do it than in the ring, one on one."

Would you like to see Roman Reigns vs. John Cena in the near future? The latter is a Free Agent these days and is expected to appear on RAW at some point so it could be on the way sooner than we think. In the meantime, be sure to let us know your thoughts on Roman's remarks in the comments section and stay tuned for updates as we head into SummerSlam this Sunday.
