Roman Reigns is once again Universal Champion after winning last night's No Holds Barred Triple-Threat match at Payback.
The Big Dog, who now appears to have cemented his heel status, didn't actually show up until the end of the bout, allowing "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman to wear each other down first. We have no idea how the match was allowed to start without all three competitors in the ring, but that's WWE logic for you.
The Fiend and The Monster battled all over the arena, eventually breaking the ring with a superplex. At this point, Reigns entered the picture with Paul Heyman, signing the contract on his way down the ramp.
After first attempting to cover both men, he hit a low blow on Wyatt before spearing Strowman to win the match and the Universal Championship.
We all knew Roman was going to win here, but we didn't expect him to do so in this fashion. It worked for the story they're telling, but it would've been nice to see Wyatt get a longer run with the title.
