Ronda Rousey Comments On Whether She's Still Under Contract With WWE: "That's A Question For The Lawyers"

Former RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey has shared an update of sorts on whether she's still under contract with WWE, but it doesn't sound like even she's entirely sure. Find more details on that here...

Ronda Rousey made a huge impact in WWE, but her time as a Superstar came to a somewhat disappointing end when she lost the RAW Women's Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

After that match, the Baddest Woman on the Planet took time away from the world of pro wrestling to focus on being a wife and mother. This September, she gave birth to the Baddest Baby on the Planet, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, and shows no real sign of making her return to pro wrestling.

WWE has expressed interest in making that happen, but what about Rousey? Well, she was asked about her in-ring future during a recent gaming stream and responded, "[Person in chatroom] is asking if I’m still under contract with WWE. I technically - I don’t think I am. But who knows? That’s a question for the lawyers."

It all depends whether WWE allowed Rousey's contract to run its course or if they paused it when she chose to take a hiatus from the company. They certainly can't force her back to work, but it sounds like she's on good terms with Stephanie McMahon as they've apparently been sending each other photos of their kids in recent months. She also wished Triple H her best wishes.

Rousey hasn't talked particularly positively about her time in WWE, mostly because it seems she didn't expect fans to turn on her character the way they did.

Still, we're hoping she at least returns for that singles match with Lynch...
