During last night's episode of RAW, Ronda Rousey finally returned alongside Shayna Baszler and made quite the statement during an attack on Raquel Rodriguez.
She and Liv Morgan had been set to defend their Women's Tag Team Championships against Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green, but a postponement meant Rodriguez was left on her own for a singles match with the latter. The champion ultimately picked up the win, but her celebration was short-lived.
Rousey and Baszler made short work of Rodriguez on the entrance ramp, and this was the first time we've seen the Baddest Woman on the Planet since her win alongside her fellow MMA fitghter in the Women's Showcase match at WrestleMania last month.
She's spent the past few weeks dealing with an injury, as is Morgan. The reason she was absent from RAW is that Morgan suffered an undisclosed issue on Friday's SmackDown when she and Rodriguez successfully defended their tiles against Damage CTRL's Bayley and Dakota Kai.
There's currently no word on when she'll return, but we'd assume the current plan is for Morgan and Rodriguez to defend their titles against Rousey and Baszler at Night of Champions later this month.
WWE has been planning to push these two as a tag team since before WrestleMania, and early plans called for them to win the titles on the Grandest Stage of Them All. With that in mind, we'd bet on them walking out of Saudi Arabia with the titles should the match go ahead.
It's a shame Rousey isn't being pushed as a singles star, but bad booking on WWE's part has meant that she doesn't hold the same level of importance in that role as she once did.
