According to Dave Meltzer, the main event for WWE Evolution as of this week is for Ronda Rousey to go one-on-one with Nikki Bella. Apparently, the idea is that the two are the most popular mainstream names the company has in the women’s division thus for PR reasons, WWE believes that showcasing Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella would be a huge match.
Rousey is scheduled to face Alexa Bliss this evening at WWE SummerSlam with the Raw Women’s Championship on the line. If Rousey wins the Raw Women’s title, then the gold will be on the line as the company has previously stated that every women’s title will be defended on the show.
