Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were originally supposed to face Natalya and Tegan Nox in a tag-team match on SmackDown, but plans were changed at the last minute after a backstage brawl between Rousey and Nox.
The Submission Magician ended up taking on Nox in a singles match, while Ronda accompanied her to the ring with her arm in a sling. This was said to have resulted from her encounter with Tegan, but reports now indicate that the Baddest Woman on the Planet is dealing with a legitimate injury.
However, PW Torch has learned that Rousey simply "aggravated a prior injury, and it is not expected to infringe on her availability to wrestle at WrestleMania in four weeks.”
Ronda's 'Mania plans are still not set in stone. Before Charlotte Flair returned and defeated her for the SmackDown Women's Championship, there was talk of the former MMA star defending her title against Rhea Ripley. Another feud with Becky Lynch was also floated, but Rousey reportedly wants to focus on a tag-team run with Shayna, so we'd say a Women's Tag-Team Championship match against Lynch and Lita is the most likely scenario for the show of shows.
Rousey's second WWE run has not been received very well. Fans don't seem open to accepting her as a babyface, so this tag-team run with Baszler seems like a good idea - as long as she eventually turns on her friend to set up a potentially awesome feud between the two MMA-trained Superstars.
