WrestlingNews.co is reporting that based on information from TMZ, Ronda Rousey's WWE contract is set to expire on April 10th, 2021. That's still a little while away, of course, but it means her final show with the company would be WrestleMania 37 (which is now expected to move from Los Angeles to Tampa).
Rousey has taken shots at Becky Lynch on her Twitch stream, but with it unclear whether "The Man" intends to return to the ring after having a baby, that could very well end up leading, well, nowhere.
After Rousey's defeat at last year's Showcase of the Immortals in a RAW Women's Championship match with Lynch and Charlotte Flair, the plan was for a singles rematch between the Baddest Woman on the Planet and Lynch the following year. That didn't happen after Rousey decided she wanted to take some time off to start a family (the pandemic also played a factor).
As far as we know, Rousey hasn't fallen pregnant yet, so if that happens between now and April, she's definitely not making a WWE return. It's no secret that she was unhappy with the way fans responded to her, while comments she made about wrestling definitely upset a lot of people in the company.
We'll keep you guys updated.
