It's been confirmed today that legendary British boxer Chris Eubank is stepping back into the ring to voice monster wrestler King Gorge in the upcoming animated feature, Rumble. That's not the only casting addition that's been made, however, as Charles Barkley has joined the movie as Rayburn Sr., while Bridget Everett is playing Lady Mayhen.
Hamish Grieve directs Rumble which is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes. The story picks up with the teenage Winnie as she seeks to follow in her father's footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.
As you can see from the previously released trailer, the movie looks like an absolute blast, and previously announced cast members include Will Arnett, Terry Crews, Geraldine Viswanathan, and most excitingly for us here at The Ring Report, WWE Superstars Roman Reigns (the new Universal Champion) and Becky Lynch.
Rumble is set to be released on 5th February 2021 in the UK, and it's based on the graphic novel by Rob Harrell. Hamish Grieve and Matt Lieberman penned the screenplay.
Eubank had an incredible boxing career that spanned thirteen years, and his son, Chris Eubank Jr. is now making a huge impact in the boxing world. Needless to say, it will be great seeing what the legendary boxer brings to the table for Rumble!
