An official announcement is expected to arrive any day now but a new report may have revealed the location for WrestleMania 35. Apparently, WWE is planning to return to the New York/New Jersey area for the event, a surprise considering the fact that the city has become SummerSlam's home in recent years. However, the MetLife Stadium obviously held the show several years ago.

It would make sense for NXT TakeOver and the Hall of Fame to hail from Madison Square Garden, while RAW and SmackDown Live could either go there or in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

However, WWE works it out logistically, this report comes from a pretty reliable source and means both Philadelphia and Detroit may have lost their bids to host WrestleMania in 2019. Interestingly, WWE very nearly returned to New York for this year's WrestleMania but New Orleans pushed hard for the event because they wanted to tie it into the festivities surrounding the city's 300th anniversary.
