RUMOR: If Seth Rollins Isn't Cleared By WRESTLEMANIA, Finn Balor Could Take His Place
It seems like there's a 50/50 chance Seth Rollins will make it to WrestleMania to take on Triple H, but if he isn't cleared to compete, a new report claims the returning Finn Balor will take his place.
Seth Rollins missed last year's WrestleMania, and after reinjuring his leg during a segment with Samoa Joe a couple of weeks back, chances are he'll miss this year's too. WWE hasn't provided many solid updates about his status, and while it's believed he could recover in time to square off with Triple H on the grandest stage of them all, it's far from a sure thing right now.
Whatever happens, it's thought that The Game will still wrestle on the show, but who will take Rollins' place?
Well, according to Inquisitr, the backup plan is for Finn Balor to take his place. He's expected to return any day now and given his history with both Triple H and Samoa Joe down in NXT, this could work. Of course, back when he was working as a heel, Rollins was responsible for injuring Balor (inadvertently) and forcing him to give up the Universal Championship, so explaining why he's stepping up to take his place could be hard to explain!
Perhaps the Demon will be furious that Triple H handed his title to Kevin Owens (another enemy from his NXT days) and the brought in Joe as an enforcer, and given Balor's time as the face of NXT, a story could be found here. You also have to believe that this match has the potential to be really good.
We'll just have to wait and see, but for the time being, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place!
