RUMOR: The Miz Will Defend His Intercontinental Title Against Braun Strowman At WRESTLEMANIA

Braun Strowman is without question one of the top stars in WWE right now, but for whataver reason, the company seem hesitant to put the Universal title on him. The Monster Among Men will challenge for Brock Lesnar's championship at The Royal Rumble, but he's not expected to win, and it looks like WWE might be planning on downgrading him to an IC title contender very soon.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the current plan right is for The Miz to defend the intercontinental championship against Strowman at WrestleMania. Apparently, while there are those in top positions that believe the time is right for Braun to claim the top title, Vince doesn't agree and that's all there is to it.

Still, The Miz vs. Braun Strowman for the IC title does sound like an intriguing prospect.

We'll update once we know more.
