It appears that WWE may be combining their Smackdown and RAW women’s division in the future.
According to Wrestlevotes - who’s broken news such as Bobby Lashley replacing John Cena in the World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel – the company will be slowly weaving together the main roster division of both shows.
Should this be true, then it does fix the current problem with Smackdown Live as Asuka is currently without a clear and credible opponent for WrestleMania 35 since both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are fighting over the RAW Women’s championship.
Natalya posted an interesting tweet that might solve Asuka’s opponent problem come WrestleMania:
At the moment, there’s no indication on what the future will hold for both the Smackdown and RAW women’s championships should the merge of both women's divisions happen. The WWE Women’s Tag Team titles will be defended on both brands thus the company many decide to hold a unification match to crown one champion.
