Rumors Of Chris Jericho Making A Surprise WRESTLEMANIA Return Were Clearly Premature

There have been rumblings for a while that Chris Jericho could play a role at this year's WrestleMania but a new report makes it clear that there are no plans in place for Y2J in WWE for quite some time...

While we now know that both Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon will be able to work WrestleMania, the fate of both men was very much up in the air for a while. As a result, Chris Jericho was one of many names that started popping up in regards to who could team with either man at the Showcase of the Immortals to battle Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn but that clearly isn't going to happen now.

In fact, if you were hoping for some sort of surprise appearance from Jericho at the event in any capacity, you can forget about it because there's no way he'll be able to make it to New Orleans that night!

"[Jericho] has a concert that night [of WrestleMania]," Dave Meltzer confirmed on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio referring to Jericho's rock band Fozzy. "He’s got too many concerts I think," he added. "He’d have to cancel at least 3 concerts to do that and I don’t know if he’s gonna do that especially since a lot of them have presold tickets really well."

With Fozzy taking off in a big way, it's clear that reports of Jericho not returning to WWE until late 2018/early 2019 were correct so fans of The List are going to have to be patient about seeing it again.
