Back in April, it was revealed that Rusev would face The Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble in a Casket match. Bizarrely, he was removed from the match days later and Chris Jericho took his place before, well, Y2J was taken out of the bout and the Bulgarian Brute was put back in! So, what was the story behind that? Well, Rusev shed some light on what happened in the latest Ride Along

"Remember when Vince saw me – I’m gonna face The Undertaker and I laughed at him?" he said before Aiden English remarked: "You just laughed in the chairman’s face [for] one of the biggest matches of your career." Rusev continued by pointing out, "And what I get for it? I got pulled out. And then the Prince called. ‘you told me Rusev Day is coming to town baby.'"

This lines of with what Jericho has said on his podcast about Rusev being pulled before the Prince of Saudi Arabia contacted WWE and requested to see the bout but did he really laugh in McMahon's face? While it's possible he didn't show the match the respect it deserved, it's far more likely his Tweet reading "Bury me softly, Brother" is what led to him initially being dropped from this match!
