Rusev Will Defend The United States Championship Against Shinsuke Nakamura At The ROYAL RUMBLE

There was no sign of either man on SmackDown last night but WWE has confirmed that Rusev will defend his newly won United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at the Royal Rumble this month.

As expected, WWE has set a United States Championship match for this year's Royal Rumble PPV. During last night's episode of SmackDown Live, it was announced that Rusev will defend the title at the event after beating Shinsuke Nakamura for it on the Christmas Day edition of the show.

Seeing the Bulgarian Brute take on the King of Strong Style promises to be a lot of fun but it's easy enough to imagine it being relegated to the Kickoff show, a rather massive come down for Nakamura after he won the men's Royal Rumble match for a WWE title opportunity just one year ago.

There's no word on an Intercontinental Championship match but here's the card so far...
