Sami Zayn Shows Up On SMACKDOWN To Help Kevin Owens Take Out Kofi Kingston

Well, make that attempt to take out Kofi Kingston! The WWE Champion was a guest on the Kevin Owens Show tonight on SmackDown, and things played out pretty much they way you'd expect. More past the jump...

Kevin Owens attempted to get the upper hand on Kofi Kingston ahead of their MITB WWE Championship match tonight on SmackDown, but things didn't quite work out as he expected - even after enlisting the help of his old friend Sami Zayn.

Zayne showed up as the final "wildcard" of the night, double-teaming Kofi with KO until Xavier Woods ran out to make the safe. The New Day member was taken out almost immediately, however, leaving his friend at the mercy of the always dangerous duo.

Things looked bleak, but Kofi was ultimately able to fend off both men and hit Zayn with Trouble in Paradise while Owens retreated up the ramp.

Does this mean that Owens and Zayn are back together again? They are still technically on different shows, but this Wildcard Rule seems very flexible! Tune in to Money in the Bank this Sunday to see if Sami gets involved in the title match.
