It seems like El Generico might be returning to the wrestling ring!
Before signing to the WWE, Sami Zayn went under the masked persona known as El Generico on the independent scene and in Ring of Honor. Generico achieved much success on the independent circuit, as he’s a former two time PWG World Champion, ROH Television Champion, and ROH World Tag Team Champion (with his partner being the then named Kevin Steen).
Zayn and Owens were fired by Daniel Bryan last week. Owens changed his Twitter handle back to his real name, Kevin Steen, and the El Generico account Tweeted for the first time since Sami Zayn signed with WWE:
