Samoa Joe is once again the United States Champion after Rey Mysterio was forced to relinquish the title on Raw.

The legendary luchador suffered a legitimate injury during his match against Joe at Money in the Bank, and will reportedly be out for some time while his shoulder heals. Tonight, Rey handed over the title to the savage Samoan and suffered a Cochina Clutch for his troubles.

Usually when a Superstar has to relinquish a title there'll be a tournament (or at least one match) to determine the new champion, but there's clearly too much going on on the red brand what with... ummm, endless Shane McMahon promos and such.

At any rate, Joe is US Champion, and we should find out who his next challenger will be over the next couple of weeks.
