Samoa Joe & Roman Reigns Could End Up Teaming Together At WWE SUMMERSLAM

After strongly teasing a babyface turn on Monday Night Raw, it seems that the former United States Champion and Roman Reigns could end up teaming together at the biggest party of the summer. Check it out!

To the surprise of many, Samoa Joe came to the aid of Roman Reigns last night after the former Universal Champion was hit by a car from an unknown attacker.

Before the incident, the former United States Champion was pissed that he was being accused of attacking Reigns on Smackdown last Tuesday and wanted to confront ‘The Big Dog’ about the situation. Despite Joe coming across as a babyface after Reigns was assaulted, it was made clear by Dave Meltzer that there were no plans to turn the ‘Samoan Submission Machine’ (transcript courtesy of wrestletalk.com):

“So the idea now is that Daniel Bryan is now such a heel of such proportions that even the other heels don’t want anything to do with him. The idea is that even the heels are appalled at what is happening.”

However, TalkSport’s Alex MCCarthy is stating that not only will Bryan and Reigns wrestle at Summerslam, but it could be a tag team match with the former Universal Champion teaming with Samoa Joe and Rowan being on Bryan’s side. Obviously, we’ll see how this whole thing plays out tonight on the go-home show of Smackdown Live.
