Yesterday, reports started swirling that after walking out of WWE earlier this year, both Sasha Banks and Naomi are set to make their returns to the company imminently.
They left, relinquishing their Women's Tag Team Championships in the process, after creative clashes with Vince McMahon. However, with him gone, and Triple H now in charge of creative and talent relations, it appears The Game has made things right with two of WWE's top female Superstars.
While their return didn't take place on RAW as originally expected, both Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez have backed up these claims by confirming they've made a deal to return. It doesn't sound like they've signed on the dotted line just yet, but the former notes that "it is moving in that direction and internally they do expect it to happen."
This marks a much-needed win for WWE and should be a major blow to AEW.
The company needs Banks and Naomi now more than ever too. While SummerSlam saw the return of Bayley, alongside Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, Ronda Rousey has been written out as part of a storyline suspension (presumably to spend some time with her family) and Becky Lynch looks set to be on the injured shelf for a number of months.
That was confirmed by WWE after she separated her shoulder during a match with Bianca Belair. After turning babyface during RAW and vowing to return as "The Man," Lynch was attacked by Bayley and her new allies backstage and written off TV.
