Sasha Banks Gains A Measure Of Revenge On Bayley At CLASH OF CHAMPIONS

Bayley ended up facing Asuka with her title on the line at Clash of Champions when Nikki Cross was pulled from the event, and when she got herself DQ'd, and old friend was waiting with a chair...

Along with Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, Nikki Cross was "not medically cleared" to compete at last night's Clash of Champions, so Bayley ended up laying down an open challenge for her SmackDown's Women's Title.

Asuka answered (she'd already retained her Raw Women's Title against Zelina Vega on the kickoff show), and the two had a decent back-and-forth bout before The Role Model got herself disqualified for using a steel chair on her opponent. Almost immediately after, Bayley found herself on the receiving end of a chair shot of her own as Sasha Banks attacked from behind.

The Boss' neck was still clearly giving her trouble, and Bayley was able to take control at one point. But before she could do much damage, Banks got hold of a kendo stick and dealt out a few wallops to send her former friend running for the hills.

This is most likely setting up a match between the two at the Hell in a Cell PPV in two weeks time, but we probably won't find out for sure until this Friday's episode of SmackDown.
