Earlier today, we reported on a resurfaced audio clip in which AEW's Sammy Guevera was heard to make a rape joke about WWE's Sasha Banks. Now, The Boss has responded.

One half of the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions took to Twitter to reveal that she's spoken to Sammy about his tasteless joke, and he apologized. Banks added that she hopes their conversation makes him realize how potentially damaging his comments were.

Like we said in our earlier report, a tasteless joke is a long way from sexual misconduct, but it is still something that needed to be addressed.

For his part, Guevara has since publicly apologized to Banks via Twitter.
