Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were one of the most popular acts in NXT, and it was clear the stage was being set for them to be huge stars on the main roster. Unfortunately, as soon as Vince McMahon got his hands on them, Scarlett disappeared from television and Kross was lumbered with an embarrassing gladiator gimmick and some embarrassing losses.
Now, Scarlett has addressed her final months in the company. Used in a couple of dark matches before SmackDown, she never made it to the main roster, a decision that baffled fans.
"I wasn’t stressed because NXT is awesome," Scarlett said of her final months or so in WWE. "It really was. But I was bored for the last six months. So obviously, I wasn’t really doing very much. And I’m excited for the first time in a really long time, and I’m happy and I feel joy. Like, I felt content at WWE but now I feel joy and excitement."
Later, she shared her mind on how NXT has transformed into NXT 2.0. "It’s different. And I always want to support my friends who are on there. Like, I love so many people in the company. Like, genuinely, would take a bullet for people in that company. So, it’s different but I hope they do well with it."
We're sure Scarlett will have more to say about how her WWE run ended in the coming months, and it's still exciting to think about where they'll land (AEW seems far more likely than IMPACT Wrestling).
What do you hope the future holds in store for Karrion and Scarlett?
