As we told you yesterday, Seth Rollins is currently dealing with a back injury that is thankfully not serious enough to keep him out of WrestleMania (where he'll face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar).
Now, Dave Meltzer has elaborated on what's happening with the Architect and confirms that he was originally scheduled to compete at the upcoming Elimination Chamber PPV. "They were gonna do McIntyre and Corbin against Strowman and Seth at the pay-per-view and maybe the Kurt thing [is a] replacement this week," he revealed on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live.
As of right now, Rollins is expected to be kept off live events but he could have a non-physical role on RAW next Monday. Putting Angle in that match seems like a smart move, though, especially as it may result in him competing at WrestleMania. With any luck, they'll stop making him look like a hapless loser in the meantime and we have seen more than enough of Rollins taking on McIntyre and Corbin.
