Universal Champion Seth Rollins defeated SmackDown LIVE Tag-Team Champion Daniel Bryan for the first time ever in the main event of Raw.
As expected, these two ring generals had a terrific match, but the first few minutes were marred by interference from Rowan which forced a a DQ before the locker room emptied and a melee ensued. Once the ring was clear, the bout was restarted.
So, instead of giving fans a solid 10-minute wrestling match between two of the best in the world (sorry, Shane) right now, we got about 6 minutes of actual in-ring action and 4 of pointless gaga.
At any rate, what we did get was pretty damn awesome, with Rollins ultimately landing his Stomp for the pinfall victory.
Let's hope this isn't the last time we see these guys square off in a one-on-one encounter.
