What do you do when Seth Rollins keeps on taking out your potential special guest referees with a steel chair? Pick a woman, of course!
From a storyline perspective, Baron Corbin choosing Lacey Evans was actually pretty inspired - even if the crowd hated it. The Sassy Southern Belle did a great job heeling it up in the match, too, getting rid of the count-out and making it a no DQ so that Corbin could let loose with a steel chair.
Once Lacey got physically involved and hit a low blow and The BeastSlayer to set up an End of Days from Corbin, Rollins' girlfriend Becky Lynch rushed the ring and took Evans out, clearing the way for Seth's Stomp and the 1,2,3.
The announcers made multiple references to Seth and Becky's relationship throughout the event, so this was kinda signposted. The show went off the air with the Raw champions leaving the ring together looking very pleased with themselves.
No Lesnar MITB cash-in, no Bray Wyatt, so real surprises of any sort. Still a pretty damn solid PPV all things considered. What did you guys think?
