Seth Rollins Is Victorious At SUMMERSLAM Despite A Valiant Effort From Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio has his very first WWE match at SummerSlam on Sunday night, and despite a very impressive showing against Seth Rollins, The Monday Night Messiah emerged victorious. Check it out...

In what turned out to be one of the highlights of SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio took the fight to Seth Rollins in a vicious, and emotionally engaging Street Fight. Unfortunately, The Monday Night Messiah proved too much for the up-and-coming Superstar to handle.

Most of the match focused on the arrogant heel underestimating the inexperienced young babyface, but having Rey Mysterio and Murphy present at ringside added a different dynamic. Dom had made his father promise not to get involved, and Rollins was determined to make him go back on his word by inflicting as much pain on the kid as possible.

Ultimately, the legendary luchador had no choice but to interfere when Murphy attempted to push his son's eye into the steel steps, but this proved to be the beginning of the end for the Mysterios. Seth handcuffed Rey to the ring-rope, forcing him to watch as he delivered a Stomp to Dom and pinned him.

We feel they could have given Dominik the win here. The Mysterio family need to get some payback for that Eye for an Eye match, or this entire feud will turn out to be a very depressing piece of business.

Hopefully the story will continue after this, but knowing WWE, nothing is certain.
