At WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to turn Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar into a Triple Threat match which he ultimately walked away from as WWE Champion. It was one of the greatest WrestleMania moments of all-time and in a new interview, Rollins has revealed when exactly he found out that he would be getting involved in the show's main event.
"I didn't know for sure until the middle of the show," he reveals. "I had a match with Randy Orton early in the day and then I was sequestered backstage and informed that would be the plan at the end of the night. It honestly was a very last-minute thing." Rollins adds that he didn't tell anyone else it would be happening and he then started worrying it would be called off!
"We were getting close to having to get off the air, so maybe it wouldn't have happened," Rollins continued. "I was glad I didn't tell anyone and have that bad luck or that I had jinxed himself."
Rollins went on to have a successful reign as WWE Champion until he was forced to relinquish the title due to a knee injury which kept him on the bench for months. Now, he's Intercontinental Champion.
