Just days before Seth Rollins challenges Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at
WrestleMania, he sat down with Cathy Kelley for an extensive interview about a number of topics. Perhaps most interesting, though, are his comments about Dean Ambrose's upcoming WWE departure.
"It breaks my heart," Rollins said regarding his Shield brother's decision to leave the company. "I get it. I understand this place can be frustrating. He’s a guy who’s been doing it nonstop for 15, 16, 17 years. Sometimes you just need to step away and take care of yourself. I wish him luck in whatever he wants to do."
"I know how he feels about his creativity. Sometimes when it pulls him in a different direction, that’s just how he’s gotta be. I never imagined the three of us working anywhere else or not being here at the same time."
With all this in mind, it sounds like Ambrose's departure is no work and WWE is happy for its Superstars to acknowledge that (a sign he is at least walking away from them on good terms). Whether the Lunatic Fringe is going to All Elite Wrestling remains to be seen but we'll keep you updated.
