Several Released WWE Superstars Have Reportedly Been “Offered Deals" To Return

Take this with a pinch of salt, but a (somewhat) reliable source is claiming that some of the WWE Superstars that were released as part of the recent company wide purge have been offered deals to return...

Could we see some of the wrestlers that were released by WWE last month as part of cost-saving measure back in the company soon? According to Bryan Alvarez on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, several Superstars “have been offered deals to come back,” but only at a fraction of what they were making before.

We know that Kurt Angle is still doing business with WWE and Drake Maverick recently signed a new contract with NXT, so there could be something to this.

Why would Vince McMahon want to rehire people he just let go a month ago? Why, to stop them going elsewhere of course! There are persistent rumors that All Elite Wrestling has signed more than just The Revival (now known as FTR), and Impact Wrestling has already shown interest in the likes of Rusev, EC3 and Eric Young, so it might simply be a case of Vince wanting to, yet again, hoard talent.

It's difficult to imagine anyone coming back to WWE for less money when they could probably make at least close to what they were in those other promotions and earn a much better spot on the card, but you never know. Some may decide it's simply less hassle to uproot their lives and return to what they known. WWE is still the biggest pro-wrestling promotion there is, after all.

What do you guys make of this? Let us know in the usual place.
