Shane McMahon Set To Make His Return Tonight On RAW After Last Year's Firing Angle

Despite being "fired" from WWE last year, it's been confirmed that Shane McMahon is set to make his return later on tonight during Raw. What will the self-proclaimed Best in the World have to say?

WWE has announced that Shane McMahon will return during tonight's episode of Raw.

We haven't seen Shane-O-Mac since last year's 20th Anniversary episode of SmackDown when he was "fired" after losing a ladder match to Kevin Owens, and WWE hasn't provided any context for why he's decided to return.

From a storyline standpoint, both Raw and SmackDown have been operating without an authority figure to make the matches official, so there's a chance Shane is being brought in to full that void. On the non-storyline side of things, it's likely that Vince McMahon is simply doing everything in his power to get some eyes on the product and improve the ratings.

Will the "Best in the World" manage to turn things around in that regard? Well, it probably depends of why he's coming back, but it can't hurt... right?

Be sure to tune into Monday Night Raw later on to find out what Shane has to say for himself.
