Shane McMahon's WRESTLEMANIA Match Was Supposed To Be A Huge Draw; WWE Scrambling To Find Replacement

It appears Shane McMahon's WWE departure is causing a bigger headache for the company than first suspected. His father, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, sent his son home and scrapped WrestleMania plans for Shane 'O Mac after the chaos he caused during the Men's Royal Rumble match (serving as a producer, he booked the match around himself and clashed with a lot of people).

While Shane had pitched matches with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley or Austin Theory, it was ultimately decided that he should face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. While he was unhappy with Rollins being pulled from the Rumble match, it's believed the stage for this clash would have been set at Elimination Chamber (where the 52-year-old would, for some reason, compete for the WWE title).

Well, WrestleVotes is now reporting that WWE is scrambling to find a new "major attraction" match for the Show of Shows after Shane's bout was scrapped.

Apparently, his rumoured match with Rollins was set to be "near the top" of the card and it sounds like the WrestleMania card as a whole is far from being set in stone at this point. In fact, the only two confirmed matches are Brock Lesnar vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Ronda Rousey vs. RAW Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.

As always, we'll keep you updated.
