WWE Hall of Famer and Performance Center trainer Shawn Michaels came out of retirement last year to team up with Triple H for a match against The Undertaker and Kane at
Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. It wasn't a particularly good match and ended with The Game being injured.
Now, the legendary wrestler has shared his thoughts on the match and it doesn't really sound like he thinks it counted for anything.
"No, there are no regrets," he said in regards to making his return. "So again, honestly, and no one will ever believe me but I’ll tell you anyway, but honestly, again, it’s not a WrestleMania, it’s not a this… to me it wasn’t coming back as the Heartbreak Kid. It was a tag match. I know that’s not the same and I know nobody will understand it, but in my mind, it was like a glorified house show live event."
"I don’t mean that to be intellectually insulting to the wrestling fan but in my mind, it was not the same. I got asked. It was almost like, as a favor." Michaels went on to say that it was meant to be a fun thing to do and while it didn't turn out to be as fun as he though, he believes it was "okay."
Needless to say, it sounds unlikely that HBK will be returning to Saudi Arabia for another match in the near future after this effort!
