Shawn Michaels Won't Be Wrestling Dolph Ziggler At SUMMERSLAM According To A New Report

On Tuesday night's episode of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler attacked Shawn Michaels during a Miz TV segment. The week before, the Showoff was involved in an altercation with The Miz and that led to many fans jumping to the conclusion that the two old rivals would clash at SummerSlam.

Well, Dave Meltzer has weighed in on the matter in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and it sounds like things won't be going the way we thought.

Apparently, while Ziggler will have a match at the PPV, he won't be facing Michaels or The Miz so that leaves us with a lot of questions leading into the show. After all, with only two weeks left until it takes place, what could WWE have planned for the former WWE Champion?

Roman Reigns doesn't have an opponent so perhaps WWE is planning to have Ziggler eat another quick loss at the PPV after his swift defeat at Kevin Owens' hands at Extreme Rules?
