We've been wondering which team The Golden Role Models would be forced to defend their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against this Sunday at Payback, and last night on Raw it was revealed that it's going be the makeshift tandem of Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
Don't they hate each other? Yes, but we're supposed to believe that they hate Sasha and Bayley more, so the enemy of my enemy etc.
We have no idea why plans for a feud between The Irresistible Force and the Queen of Spades were scrapped in favor of this, but it does have some potential. They will make a formidable pairing, at the very least, and them winning the titles could lead to the inevitable split between Bay and The Boss.
We're more concerned that Vince seems to have given up on pushing Baszler as the scourge of the women's division she clearly should be. Her NXT run showed that she has the potential to be the female equivalent of Brock Lesnar, but, okay, we're doing the reluctant tag team partner thing instead.
