WWE briefly mentioned that Asuka is injured during last night's RAW, so Kairi Sane ended up taking her place in Shayna Baszler's first match on the Monday night show. What followed was an overly long, meandering affair which did very little to get the former NXT Women's Champion over as the unstoppable monster WWE is portraying her to be leading into WrestleMania.
The match ended up receiving "This is Boring!" chants from fans in Brooklyn, and while Baszler's staredown with RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch was mostly well-received, it doesn't appear as if fans are buying into this match as much as WWE is hoping.
Baszler winning the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday is inevitable at this point, and given how poorly received the Survivor Series main event was last year, it's hard to say whether these two will have the necessary chemisty when they step into the ring together at the Show of Shows.
