Sheamus Attempts To Get Jeff Hardy To Break His Sobriety On SMACKDOWN

Sheamus' "toast" to Jeff Hardy on SmackDown turned out to another excuse for The Celtic Warrior to belittle and taunt The Charismatic Enigma about his alcohol and substance abuse issues. Ugh...

Look, if this wasn't the final segment of SmackDown we probably wouldn't be covering it. But it was, so... yeah.

The "main event" of the show was Sheamus raising a glass to Jeff Hardy from the titantron while the Charismatic Enigma stood in the ring beside a bar full of booze. The Celtic Warrior told Hardy that he needed to just give in and stop lying to himself, and pour himself a drink. Jeff agreed, took a glass of Champaign from the "bartender," before pouring it over him, smashing the bottle on his head, and hitting him with a Swanton.

That's it. That was the segment. Didn't further any storylines, didn't get anyone over, wasn't entertaining in the slightest. Just another excuse to run Hardy into the ground and allow Sheamus to cut another semi-decent promo.

We're obviously going to see another match between these guys, but at this point it's difficult to care. It will be nice for Jeff to get a win back... we guess.
