It looks like Sheamus is taking some time off to deal with an undisclosed injury.

The Celtic Warrior didn't appear on this week's episode of SmackDown LIVE, freeing up his The Bar teammate Cesaro to join Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura in their six-man tag-match. This led to speculation that he might be hurt, and PW Insider has now confirmed that he is indeed dealing with an injury.

The exact nature of said injury is unclear, but Sheamus was diagnosed with spinal stenosis last year, so that may have something to do with it.

Whatever the issue is, let's hope he makes a speedy recovery and gets back to Brogue Kicking people's heads off soon.
