Shinsuke Nakamura will get a chance at revenge on Smackdown.

Last Friday, the former WWE United States Champion ran the Gauntlet Match and Nakamura put on a fantastic display that saw him beat Rey Mysterio, Baron Corbin, and Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns violently attacked the potential number one contender and Adam Pearce before their match-up began.

After laying Nakamura out with his signature superman punch and spear, Pearce’s prone body was forced on top of the former United States Champion. It’s already been confirmed that Adam Pearce will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble; however, Nakamura will get the opportunity at some retribution as the 40-year-old has been scheduled to fight Jey Uso on the blue brand this Friday.

Thus far, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jey Uso is the only match confirmed for Smackdown this week. The blue brand will surely continue its build towards the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 31.
