Shinsuke Nakamura is the new Intercontinental Champion after defeating Finn Balor on the Extreme Rules pre-show.

After an awesome back and forth bout, The Artist managed to hit his devastating Kinshasa knee-strike for the win when Balor mistimed his Coup de Grace foot stomp.

Nakamura definitely seemed like the King of Strong Style of old here, turning up the intensity and showcasing a pronounced mean streak. There's no denying that Finn's IC title run was a little underwhelming, but hopefully there are other plans in place for the Extraordinary Man etc etc. Could he join his old Bullet Club pals AJ Styles and Gallows and Anderson, perhaps? We can hope.

At any rate, let's hope Nakamura has a long run, because he's never looked better.
