On Smackdown Live 1000, former WWE champion Rey Mysterio made his official re-debut on the blue brand. While his match with Shinsuke Nakamura was short, the two athletes had a fun bout that saw Mysterio get the victory and advance to the World Cup tournament.
In addition to advancing to the next round of the tournament, Rey will also get his chance to capture the United States title at the big WWE Starrcade live event on Saturday, November 24 at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
There's still no word yet on whether Starrcade will air on the WWE Network. Below is the updated card, courtesy of the arena website:
