After his unfortunate run in with a police dog, Shinsuke Nakamura was unable to compete against Jeff Hardy last week on SmackDown, but The Artist will get his United States Championship shot in a couple of weeks time at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event.

The Charismatic Enigma issued another open challenge on tonight's show and ended up pinning The Miz, but there's a lot of speculation that The King of Strong Style will be walking away with his title at the PPV, as Hardy has been wrestling hurt for a while and may need to take some more time off to heal up.

At any rate, a main roster title run for Nak is long overdue at this stage.
