SMACKDOWN Ended With A Surprise Appearance From Vince McMahon...And Crickets Chirping

Last night's SmackDown will surely go down as one of the weirdest in recent memory as Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance for what appeared to be an improvised segment in which he came across as...senile?

Last night's SmackDown was supposed to celebrate Triple H's 25th anniversary with WWE, but it turned into Shawn Michaels - and a number of other people via video chat - poking fun at The Game. It was clearly meant to be a roast for the former WWE Champion, but things got downright weird as soon as Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance.

Joking about social distancing, he stayed on the stage and starting making fun of his son-in-law, indicating that he was behind the infamous "This Is Your Life" segment with Bayley from 2017. Saying it brought the crickets out, the WWE Chairman went on to say Triple H's performance tonight sucked and was rotten. He said he was ashamed of Triple H and Michaels, and accused them of putting everyone to sleep.

McMahon strutted off the stage, and the lights in the WWE Performance Center started going out as a sound of crickets started playing in the building. The whole thing appeared to have been improvised and, well, it may end up going down as one of the worst SmackDown segments in recent memory!

You can check out some select "highlight" in the player below, though the crickets have been cut out...
