The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for May 8, 2020 took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Sonya Deville defeated Mandy Rose by pinfall

— The Forgotten Sons, The Miz, and John Morrison defeated The New Day and The Lucha House Party by pinfall.

— Jeff Hardy was interviewed by Renee Young about his recent vignettes and his idea of this being his last chance to get things right and have one final, good run. Sheamus was watching backstage and talking trash, so Hardy invited him to come out. When Sheamus did, he spoke about how everyone knows Hardy is going to have another suspension or something just around the corner. They fought and Hardy was able to take him out.

— Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman had their face-to-face confrontation, but nothing happened other than sharing some words.

— Tamina and Lacey Evans defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks by pinfall.

— King Corbin, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak and Otis by pinfall
