Yesterday evening's episode of SmackDown hailed from Bologna, Italy, and the night ended with the long-awaited confrontation between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins.
The OTC was first to hit the ring alongside his Wiseman, Paul Heyman. Explaining his actions on RAW a couple of weeks ago, Reigns said that he targeted Rollins as revenge for his attempt to end his career at the Royal Rumble.
As for why he screwed Punk out of winning the Cage Match, Reigns claimed it was a result of the Second City Saint eliminating him from the 30-man match.
That prompted Rollins to come out and, after saying it was pointless to try and convince Reigns how dangerous Punk is to WWE, he acknowledged that the former Shield brothers have too much bad blood and got ready for a fight.
Cue CM Punk!
The Best in the World said neither man has beaten him without the other's help and questioned why Reigns would be so bitter about what happened at the Rumble. Taking credit for saving "his family's ass" by working with him at Survivor Series: WarGames, Punk thanked Heyman for handing Reigns to him on a silver platter before attacking the Tribal Chief.
A three-person brawn ensued that saw SmackDown go off the air with security struggling to separate them. Has Heyman really betrayed Reigns or is Punk just playing midgames?
We'll see, but it's since been confirmed that we're getting Reigns vs. Punk vs. Rollins at WrestleMania in a Triple Threat match.
This surely has to be the main event of one night, and while we wait for news on that, you can check out some highlights below.
