SMACKDOWN LIVE Also Suffered From A Disastrous Ratings Drop After BACKLASH

This week's episode of SmackDown Live was actually a very good one and it ended on a shocking note when Rusev cleanly defeated Daniel Bryan to advance to the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder match next month. Despite that, it appears as if WWE is still feeling the effects of that terrible Backlash PPV because the show ended up doing its lowest number since last October! Ouch.

In total, SmackDown Live managed to draw 2,293,000 million viewers and that's down from last Tuesday's 2,436,000 million viewers. The question is, will WWE end up learning from any of this?

It seems highly unlikely as there are already rumblings that Roman Reigns will be getting another shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship in the near future. That's clearly not what fans want and they're showing their dissatisfaction with the product by tuning out. So, here's hoping Vince McMahon learns a lesson as the Reigns experiment is now in its third or fourth year and still a flop.
