Despite the promise of a "new era," RAW has performed terribly in the ratings over the past couple of weeks but that can be blamed on the fact that the show has aired on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, two days where fans aren't typically sitting down to watch wrestling for a solid three hours!
SmackDown Live, meanwhile, has fared better and after a shock ratings win which saw the blue brand beat RAW after airing on Christmas Day, this Tuesday's show also outdrew WWE's flagship show.
In total, the New Year's Day of the show (which was headlined by a huge Fatal 5 Way match) edition managed to bring in 2.091 million viewers which is obviously above the 1.904 million viewers for Monday's RAW. WWE is bound to be happy with this and probably aren't too worried about RAW given the time of year. They'll be keeping a close eye on Monday, though, that's for sure. Stay tuned!
