SMACKDOWN LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon Could Return To WWE Programming Before WRESTLEMANIA

It was confirmed during last night's episode of SmackDown Live that Shane McMahon has been discharged from hospital and that he'll be able to compete at WrestleMania but will we see him on TV again before then?

Last night, Daniel Bryan made it official: he and Shane McMahon will do battle with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania and if they lose, both men will be reinstated to SmackDown Live. That seemingly makes the outcome of the match extremely predictable but it is, of course, possible that the duo will remain fired only to then be rehired by RAW in the rumoured Superstar Shakeup.

Regardless, despite reports of Shane McMahon being hospitalised because of acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia requiring surgery, it's now said that he could be back as soon as next Tuesday for SmackDown Live. It makes sense having him appear to hype the match even if you have to believe that the vast majority of wrestling fans will be tuning in to see Bryan's long overdue return.

We'll have to wait and see but the big question here is whether or not that simmering tension between Bryan and McMahon will pay off at the Showcase of the Immortals or if WWE is moving on from that to focus on a team-up between the two! With April 8th looming, we'll all find out soon enough...
