SmackDown Live General Manager Paige recently had the chance to sit down with Edge and Christian and the subject of her having to retire from in-ring competition inevitably came up. While some fans have been hoping she would be able to do a Daniel Bryan and make a return one day, the former Divas Champion made it clear that her situation is unfortunately not quite as simple as that.

"My doctor said, maybe, in 15 to 20 years time I could return," she revealed. "I don’t think I want to wrestle in 15 to 20 years time. People say ‘you’ll have the Daniel Bryan thing’ but the thing with Daniel Bryan is his problem was concussion. Ours is spinal, so it’s different." That just goes to show how severe her injury is and that's something Edge can obviously relate to.

How long Paige will remain General Manager remains to be seen but there's no doubt plenty she could be doing behind the scenes, especially as she was at the forefront of the Divas Revolution.
